Designing an Office That Reflects Expertise

The new Fanning Howey Ohio office was was designed around a simple idea: that space can inspire people to greater heights of creativity and innovation.

That’s the same philosophy that guides Fanning Howey’s work in schools. As specialists in learning environments, they seek to create smarter, happier learners, more successful educators, and stronger communities. The new office applies that thinking to Fanning Howey’s own people, creating a workplace that supports collaboration, creativity, focus, and connection.

The new office brings together private offices, collaborative areas, a materials library, conference spaces, and a broad range of KI furnishings to create an environment that reflects Fanning Howey’s design philosophy and the experience they deliver for clients.

At the same time, the office serves as a living showroom for clients. Furniture, finishes, materials, and layouts can be experienced firsthand, giving visitors a tangible look at the possibilities Fanning Howey brings to their own projects.

“It’s where we work every day, but it’s also a showroom for our clients,” said Biniker.

Custom laminate finishes help unify the office while warming the predominantly metal furnishings. Height-adjustable workstations, distributed power, and flexible furniture support employees who spend long hours collaborating and designing.

Since moving into the new office, Fanning Howey has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from employees, partners, and clients.

The success of the space has contributed to continued growth, with the firm already evaluating options to expand as additional staff is hired.
