Construction

  • Back is injection-molded polypropylene with integral steel cantilever springs that provide a supportive flexing back
  • Frames are 13-gauge tubular steel. Cross members are 1" tubular steel and 7/8" diameter solid steel
  • Frames are finished in either baked-on electrostatically-applied 30-degree gloss epoxy powder-coat paint or bright nickel-chrome plating
  • Swivel glides are poly/nylon, steel or felt

Designed by Giancarlo Piretti, Strive® offers low-cost comfort in a versatile stool. Strive's simple, yet elegant style is an able stool solution for food service settings. Available with poly or upholstered seats in armless, loop arm or cantilevered versions. In addition to stools, Strive offers a consistent design language in an extended seating line. Strive's flex back encourages movement, relaxation and enhanced circulation. The radiused back conforms to the user's back for exceptional support. The contoured seat dissipates pressure points for greater comfort.

Giancarlo Piretti

Giancarlo Piretti (Bologna, Italy, 1940) is an Industrial Designer. Among his successful designs are Plia folding chair, his best-seller exhibited at Moma NY, Platone folding desk, and DSC (106-AXIS) seating system. For Vertebra chairs he obtained the Compasso d'Oro (Italy) as well as for his largest project, Piretti Collection office & institutional seating system. Other designs include Xylon wooden chairs, Torsion collection of institutional chairs; Engage & Impulse office chair lines featured by a synchro tilt mechanism Piretti developed; #18000 nesting & stacking chairs; and the Strive chair collection. The Pirouette nesting table and Grazie and Doni chairs for KI U.S. are G. Piretti's latest designs.
