Durable KI Furniture Creates Open, Inviting Spaces
Collin College serves more than 53,000 students annually and offers more than 100 degrees and certificates in a range of disciplines including vital health professions, medical technology, nursing and dental hygiene.
As a leader in health care education and in response to the critical need for health care workers, the college built a new Health Sciences Center with state of-the art learning spaces.
The three-story, 125,000-square-foot facility includes a first-impressions lobby, classrooms and unique simulation labs for all areas of health science study.
The inviting lobby was designed to facilitate collaborative student interaction and make a statement with Sway® seating.

The college selected reliable and durable KI furniture for all classrooms. “The furniture is sturdy and holds up well to student use and abuse,” said Cindy White, Director of Purchasing.
The building also includes a lecture hall where making the right seating selection was crucial. “Students can be in there for eight hours a day, so comfort was a big must-have,” said White who chose KI’s University™ Seating with Impress Ultra®.
