Designing for Every Learner: Reflections on EDspaces 2025

November 14, 2025

Explore the key insights, design trends, and meaningful moments that shaped our experience at EDspaces 2025.

Our team is filled with gratitude for everyone who joined us at EDspaces 2025 to experience our Portraits of a Learner showcase.

The conversations, curiosity, and collaboration we shared with educators, designers, and partners reminded us how powerful it is when people come together around a shared commitment to creating meaningful learning environments.

This blog offers a closer look at what shaped our experience at the show. From the themes we saw emerging across the floor to the ways our booth brought the KI Performance Design Considerations to life, we’re reflecting on the insights, innovations, and inspiration that made this year’s event so impactful.

Evolving Themes in Educational Design

As one of the nation’s leading events exploring the future of educational design, EDspaces continues to reflect how learning environments are evolving.

Across the show floor, several themes emerged, including the rising focus on sensory-inclusive spaces, career and technical education environments, flexible learning zones, stronger connections to nature, and designs that emphasize wellness, comfort, and belonging.

These trends align deeply with the KI Performance Design Considerations, a framework that guides every product and space we create.

From accessibility and comfort to connection, movement, and sustainability, our booth served as a living example of how design performance can be both intentional and inspiring.

Together, our integrated brands demonstrated how environments perform at every level.

  • KI Wall highlighted the adaptability of its architectural wall solutions—defining, dividing, and connecting learning spaces with flexibility and ease—while also providing an acoustically sound studio that hosted EDmarket’s EDchats podcast recordings throughout the show.
  • Pallas Textiles added layers of tactile and sensory comfort through color, texture, and materiality that help evoke calm and inspiration in any learning environment.
  • KI demonstrated how movement-driven, durable furniture solutions can empower students and educators with choice while supporting the diverse needs of all learners.

These elements worked in harmony to show how thoughtful design can shape not just a classroom, but an entire learning experience.

Celebrating Innovation and Collaboration

We were honored to have Cogni seating recognized by Learning By Design with a Product Innovation Award. The design of Cogni reflects our ongoing commitment to comfort, choice, and student well-being; values that align perfectly with the Performance Design Considerations.

Our EDsession, led by Emily McGinnis and Jolene Levin, explored how the Performance Design Considerations intersect with evolving design methodologies and learning behaviors. Attendees shared ideas and insights that emphasized a shared vision: creating inclusive, sensory-aware, and adaptable spaces for learners of all ages.

We were also honored to sponsor this year’s EDspaces Scholarship Program, which supports school leaders from across the country in attending the event. Hearing their stories and why they’re passionate about transforming their learning environments through updates that will directly impact their students was a powerful experience for us all.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To everyone who visited our booth, joined a session, connected with our team, or stopped by our happy hour: thank you. Your passion and creativity continue to inspire our work and guide what comes next for our organization.
