How can specifiers engage in the Alliance Textile Program?

1. Select your desired textile(s)

First, identify an alliance fabric that supports your project’s aesthetic and performance needs via the browsable links above.

2. Confirm textile approval and grade

Second, check the information on your selected fabric's detail page to confirm the KI grade and approval status for your selected furniture.

Please note: Not every alliance fabric is approved for every KI product. To inquire about specific material details, email surfacematerials@ki.com.

3. Specify and order through KI

Third, add the approved graded-in option to your furniture specification. KI will purchase the alliance fabric on your behalf after the furniture order is received.

Please contact your KI sales representative for assistance with fabric selection, grades, product approvals, pricing, and lead-time considerations.

Choose the Right Specification Path

Every project starts differently. Some begin with a product, while others start with a preferred textile partner or pattern. We offer different specification methods to support your design intent, performance needs, budget, availability, and timeline.

Pallas Textiles

Pallas Textiles is KI’s subsidiary textile partner, offering distinctive commercial textiles developed to balance design, performance, and availability. Pallas stands independently from the Alliance Textile Program.

KI Ingrades

KI Ingrades are KI’s own curated upholstery selections, created to fill targeted price and performance needs with a straightforward specification experience.

Alliance Fabrics

Already working with a preferred textile brand? KI's Alliance Textile Program provides a curated selection of pre-evaluated, graded-in options from Momentum, Arc-Com, and CF Stinson.

COM and KOM

If the textile you need is not included in KI's core offering or Alliance Textile Program, our standard COM or KOM process may provide another path, subject to approval and current program requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Click each question below to view an answer.

What is the KI Alliance Textile Program?

The KI Alliance Textile Program offers a curated selection of upholstery fabrics from Momentum, Arc-Com, and CF Stinson. Participating fabrics have been evaluated, approved for applicable KI furniture, and assigned a KI price grade to simplify quoting, specification, and ordering. KI purchases the fabric on the customer's behalf as part of the furniture order.

What does “graded in” mean?

A graded-in textile has been evaluated for use on KI furniture and assigned a KI price grade. Approval is product-specific, so always confirm that the selected pattern and colorway are approved for the intended KI product.

How is the Alliance Textile Program different from Pallas Textiles and KI Ingrades?

Pallas Textiles is KI’s subsidiary textile partner, while KI Ingrades are KI’s own curated upholstery selections. Together, they remain our core textile offering and provide the most integrated experience across sampling, warranty support, inventory visibility, and lead-time planning. The Alliance Textile Program extends that offering with selected textiles from outside partner brands when a specific aesthetic, performance characteristic, or brand preference calls for another option.

Which textile manufacturers participate in the program?

The initial Alliance textile partners are Momentum, Arc-Com, and CF Stinson. The program focuses on a curated selection from each partner rather than the manufacturer's full portfolio.

Are all fabrics from participating manufacturers available on every KI product?

No. Fabric availability and approval vary by pattern, colorway, and KI product. Review current product approvals in ESPEC, CET, or the linked resources on ki.com before specifying.

Where can I find current fabrics, grades, and product approvals?

Current graded-in selections and their associated KI grades are available through ESPEC and CET and will be linked from ki.com. Product approval information should always be confirmed before an order is placed.

Can I visualize Alliance textiles in See It Spec It?

Alliance textiles are not currently available for visualization in See It Spec It. Use physical samples and the participating manufacturer’s digital resources when evaluating color and texture.

How do I order a sample?

Alliance textile samples are provided by the participating textile manufacturer rather than KI or KI’s sample fulfillment service. Use the partner links on this page or contact the manufacturer’s representative to request a memo sample.

Does KI’s warranty cover Alliance textiles?

KI’s furniture warranty applies according to its stated terms, but KI does not warrant the Alliance textile itself. Textile-related warranty claims should be directed to the participating textile manufacturer. Review KI’s current warranty and the textile manufacturer's warranty for complete details.

Will an Alliance textile affect lead time?

Additional lead time may apply because Alliance textiles are ordered after KI receives the customer’s purchase order and are not stocked at KI facilities. Availability and timing depend on the textile manufacturer. Contact your KI representative for current project-specific information.

Can I still use COM or KOM?

Yes. If the fabric you want is not included in the Alliance Textile Program, KI’s standard COM or KOM process may be used, subject to approval and current requirements. A customer may also choose to purchase an Alliance textile directly and submit it as COM. Fabrics offered through the Alliance are ordered through the program rather than through KI's KOM process.

Where can I get help?

Contact your KI sales representative for assistance with fabric selection, grades, product approvals, pricing, and lead-time considerations. For technical surface-material questions, email surfacematerials@ki.com.
