Genius Walls Offer Attractive and Flexible Solution to Patient Space

Seattle Children’s is consistently ranked as one of the best children’s hospitals in the country. The hospital serves as the pediatric and adolescent academic medical referral center for the largest landmass of any children’s hospital in the country. As the organization planned to build out and create a new patient care area, its objectives included the need for maximum staff visibility while maintaining privacy. The ability to readily reconfigure the space was also a key requirement.

Genius Architectural Walls provided everything Seattle Children’s desired for its patient space: the visibility to collaborate, the flexibility to reconfigure, and the aesthetics to complement. Soon after the build, the hospital put the flexibility feature to the test when staff suggested a need for even more visibility within the original space. The hospital was able to reconfigure and open up the space overnight, without the dust, debris, and disruption typical of drywall. The Genius walls that were removed were then used to enhance a different space on another floor, providing cost savings to Seattle Children’s and continuing the attractive aesthetic of the walls throughout the patient center.
