KI Showcases Learning Spaces That Inspire Every Student at EDspaces 2025

Booth #1725 demonstrates how inclusive, high-performance design creates environments where all students thrive
GREEN BAY (October 20, 2025) – At EDspaces 2025, held November 5–7 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, KI invites educators, architects, and designers to experience a learning environment built around one powerful idea: every student learns differently. KI’s exhibit is framed by “Portraits of a Learner,” a visual storytelling experience that celebrates the individuality of every student. These portraits serve as a reminder that behind every design choice lies a unique learner whose needs, energy, and creativity shape the future of education.
Through immersive booth zones, new product introductions, and research-driven design stories, KI showcases how thoughtful, human-centered environments can support every learner, every profile, and every possibility. KI’s booth (#1725) will serve as a living model of the company’s 8 Performance Design Considerations, a framework that connects physical space to student outcomes.
“Learning is layered. Our approach to design recognizes that students don’t experience education the same way, and the environments we build should reflect that,” said Bryan Ballegeer, KI vice president of sales & marketing, education markets. “At EDspaces, we’re bringing those layers to life through spaces that support comfort, curiosity, movement, and belonging.”
Designing for Every Learner: 8 Performance Design Considerations
Each area of KI’s booth brings one of the Performance Design Considerations to life, illustrating how thoughtful choices in furniture, materials, and configuration can shape engagement, focus, and emotional well-being:
- Accessibility – Design that adapts to the physical and cognitive needs of all learners.
- Environmental Comfort – Lighting, acoustics, and finishes that create calm, focused spaces.
- Ergonomics & Movement – Encouraging posture shifts and activity through flexible seating.
- Multisensory Modulation – Textures and tones that balance sensory input for diverse needs.
- Physical Safety – Durable, stable, human-centered design that feels secure and intuitive.
- Emotional Safety & Belonging – Spaces that help every student feel seen and supported.
- Community & Connection – Layouts that nurture collaboration, visibility, and teamwork.
- Sustainability & Stewardship – Responsible materials and modular systems that stand the test of time.

A Celebration of Diversity in Learning
At its core, KI’s EDspaces exhibit is a celebration of diversity in learning, of students who think, move, and grow in different ways. Every detail within the booth reflects this belief, demonstrating how evidence-based design can nurture belonging, curiosity, and connection. By designing with empathy and intention, KI continues to shape learning environments that honor individuality while inspiring collective growth.
“When we design for the full range of human experience, we create classrooms that inspire growth, collaboration, and joy,” notes Emily McGinnis, KI K–12 market manager. “That’s what the 8 Performance Design Considerations are all about, bringing evidence-based empathy to every learning space.”
