Literacy Green Bay, Inc. Receives $25,000 Pledge from KI to Support Adult Literacy
Green Bay, WI - This week, KI committed to support Literacy Green Bay as a Classroom Sponsor, to advance adult literacy.
Literacy Green Bay has been serving the community’s adult literacy needs for over 40 years. Literacy Green Bay's mission is to help adults and families acquire the reading, writing, math, English language, computer and workforce skills they need to function effectively as workers and community members. They offer English Language Learning classes, Family Literacy GED Classes, College and Career Readiness preparation and Adult Tutoring. Empowering adults through improved literacy skills benefits us all: the learner, the employer, the family and the community. For every dollar invested in Literacy Green Bay there is a $33 economic benefit returned to the overall economy.
Robyn Hallet, the executive director of Literacy Green Bay, said, “We are so excited for KI to join our mission of ensuring adult literacy resources are available to those who need them in our community. Basic adult education is foundational to ensuring a strong workforce, healthy families, equity for all and cohesion as a community.”
