KI & Pallas Textiles Feature High-Performance Furniture and Textiles at Healthcare Design 2017
ORLANDO - KI healthcare experts will share insights and showcase the newest product solutions at Healthcare Design 2017, booth #1601. Visitors to KI's booth will see how KI's product solutions work together to create functional and harmonious healthcare environments.
“Healthcare Design is the perfect opportunity to spotlight our most innovative healthcare solutions that are designed to meet the needs of patients, families and staff,” said Debbie Breunig, vice president, healthcare, KI. “We're excited to show attendees firsthand how they can create environments that encourage patient healing, support family involvement and increase staff efficiency.”
KI introduces the Ruckus™ task chair, a solution from the Ruckus Collection, the winner of a Gold Award in the 2017 Best of NeoCon® competition, presented by Contract magazine. The Ruckus task chair fosters engagement between healthcare patients and providers. Its innovative design promotes simple and essential movement, adapting to a variety of users and uses.
Ruckus is lightweight, non-directional and perch-able for easy space adaptations. Integrated back and arms function as a work ledge for impromptu collaboration, patient procedures and accommodates leaning or perching. The simple-function task chair allows seat height adjustment from 16-1/2” to 21-1/4” and is available in all poly or with an upholstered seat.
Healthcare providers find Ruckus' universal design a welcome option, offering flexibility, movement and multiple sitting styles. Users can raise or lower the seat height, supporting eye-to-eye contact. The versatility of Ruckus lets patients and providers move away from traditional healthcare practices that may create roadblocks to communication or an intimidating atmosphere for patients.
Administering a lab procedure requires involvement from both the provider and patient. When using the Ruckus task chair on static glides, a patient is able to sit safely and comfortably while the provider has easy access to either the right or left arm through use of the Ruckus arm which functions as a work ledge. Once complete, they can easily transition back to a consultative discussion without having to switch between seating solutions - always maintaining eye contact. When not sitting, users have the option to safely perch or lean on the work arm of Ruckus.
KI will also showcase MyPlace™, a lounge collection designed to provide flexibility, using 14 unique elements that can be reconfigured and repurposed in a variety of ways. Similar to Legos, MyPlace's modularly designed shapes can be arranged and rearranged to create endless configurations. Whether it's a small ottoman that can pull up to the action, a circular setting where ideas bounce around, or a comfortable nook to kick back and regenerate, MyPlace delivers. Lightweight, mobile ottomans and tables provide a quick seat or surface when and where it is needed.
In addition, Pallas Textiles will feature two of its newest collections - the Loft Collection and Essentials. The Loft Collection combines time-honored yet contemporary pieces with a range of other aesthetics that are as much about function as style. It evokes this coherence of contradictions by giving chic vintage aesthetics an urban edge.
Pallas is excited to enhance its ongoing curation of Essentials - a collection to help define any environment. Each piece offers a palette of sophisticated neutrals and fresh color work. Detailed craftsmanship creates solids with depth and nuanced patterns with dimension. Essentials engages the senses and provides you with a foundation of timeless upholsteries.
