Office supplier offers solution to cluttered, closed-off workstations

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Today’s consumers are increasingly clamoring for furniture solutions that incorporate commercial-grade levels functionality and flexibility.

Although this trend has now touched every room in the home, nowhere it is easier to see the commercial-residential design pipeline in motion than in the office.

Commercial office furniture resource KI may have shown what is coming down that pipeline in short order. The company has introduced Passel, a new rail-based desking collection designed to support a range of individual and collaborative workplace needs.

Passel centers on a linear rail intended to reduce the visual bulk often associated with traditional panel systems. The company says the design helps create an open, connected environment while offering users clear workstation boundaries.

The system includes fixed and height-adjustable worksurfaces, coordinated and freestanding storage options and features aimed at simplifying daily use. Internal cable routing and duplex receptacles are built into the rail, and storage elements can define space without blocking sightlines.

“Passel helps campuses and hybrid workplaces use space more efficiently,” said Angela Allen, KI’s director of product marketing. “It can help establish clear workstations, reduce clutter and allow users to shift seamlessly between individual focus and collaborative teamwork.”

KI positions the collection as a versatile platform for organizations across education, healthcare, government and corporate sectors. The light-in-scale aesthetic and integrated functional elements are intended to support environments that prioritize clarity, organization and ease of movement.

According to the company, the system’s combination of desking, storage and height-adjustable components is designed to accommodate evolving workspace expectations as institutions continue to refine in-person and hybrid configurations.

KI manufactures furniture for education, healthcare, government and corporate markets. The employee-owned company is headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with additional sales and manufacturing facilities worldwide.
