Troy teacher could win $40K to remake her classroom

A Troy teacher is a finalist to win $40,000 worth of furniture to redesign her classroom. Furniture maker KI picks four lucky teachers to award the money they need to make their classroom dreams a reality. This year, one of the 12 finalists is Anna Zibro, a third-grade teacher at Rensselaer Park Elementary, who works in a co-teaching classroom. There is a public vote on KI.com to narrow down the winners. Zibro has designed a room with different zones to meet the needs of all her students, and she’s hoping with this money she can provide the educational experience her kids deserve.
