The KI showroom was recognized as the winner in the Large Showroom category of the Showroom & Booth Design Competition from IIDA and Contract Magazine. The award recognizes the KI showroom for its originality of design, visual impact and the outstanding use of space, color, texture, lighting and graphics in its showroom at NeoCon 2011. KI was also recognized with a Best of NeoCon Gold award for its Learn2™ Mobile Classroom Furniture in the Education Solutions category. KI also received the 2011 BUILDINGS's Product Innovations grand prize for its Genius Movable Walls in the workplace design aesthetics category. KI's Unite System received a merit award in the furniture systems and accessories category.
In addition to awards, visitors to KI's NeoCon showroom were also greeted with a wide range of exciting promotions.
Guests had the opportunity to leave their creative marks on KI's flagship product - the metal folding chair - using specially-designated Sharpie® markers. Guests received specially created Amazon.com song downloads for participating. When guests weren't drawing, they were confessing in KI's NeoConfessional-a social experiment that encouraged NeoCon attendees to "confess" on camera in KI's NeoCon showroom anything and everything on their minds.
