Raku takes its name from raku pottery, which is removed from the kiln when the glaze is molten and allowed to cool, resulting in both an irregular surface and color. Raku’s irregular rib alternates between fine and course, matte and shine, like the surface texture of its namesake pottery. Its eight clear colors are shot through with metallic threads
